Angelina Piccirillo and Brennan Moore Named Named Albertus Magnus Student-Athletes of the Week

New Haven, Conn. – Senior Angelina Piccirillo (Naugatuck, Conn.) of the women's soccer team and senior Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) of the men's golf team have been named as the Albertus Magnus College Student-Athletes of Week. Initiated in September, 2017, the 'Athlete of the Week' program recognizes one female and one male student-athlete each week for demonstrated excellence on the playing field.

Piccirillo's two-assist performance at Rivier University on Friday evening landed her atop the programs' all-time list with 18 helpers for her career. She entered the season with 12 assists and through six games this autumn she has moved past Amanda Roke '13 and Shelley Mirmina '13 to hold the new school record.

Moore recorded a strong performance for Albertus Magnus on Friday afternoon against Mitchell College, carding a season-low of 89 to finish in a tie for fourth place. During his round, Moore produced four pars and two bogey's, while shooting a 47 on the front and a 42 on the back-end.

The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team prepares for two games in the week ahead as the Falcons take on Emmanuel (Mass.) on Tuesday and Anna Maria on Saturday. The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team returns to the golf course tomorrow at the Westfield State Invitational.
