Albertus Magnus Athletics Set to Host Third Annual Unified Soccer Tournament

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – On Friday, October 21, the Albertus Magnus College Athletic Department is set to host its third Unified Soccer Tournament at Celentano Field. Six teams – Albertus Magnus, Southern Connecticut State University, Town of Milford, Town of North Branford, Town of Southington, and New Haven – are set to compete in the tournament along with student-athletes from the various 16 Albertus athletic teams.

The soccer tournament is slated to begin at 10:30 AM with a welcome message from Patricia Fitzgerald and the playing of the national anthem, followed by a 10:45 AM kick-off. Once the games are completed, the teams will come together at midfield for the medals ceremony and the annual group photo.

In September 2018, Albertus Magnus entered into a partnership with the Amity Regional School District that included a Unified Sports program in basketball and soccer.
