Joe Tonelli

HALL OF FAME CLASS OF 2008

Joseph Tonelli started the baseball team at Albertus Magnus and coached for 13 years in addition to serving as Director of Athletics from 1995-2003.  Tonelli had a 70% winning percentage in conference play throughout his career and was the first coach at Albertus Magnus to reach the NCAA Tournament with an appearance in 2003.  Tonelli’s team also won the GNAC Championship title in 1999 and 2003. He coached 44 All-Conference selections, including six Players of the Year in just nine years of league play.  He was also named the GNAC Coach of the Year in both 1999 and 2003.
