Baseball Stays Undefeated with Extra-Inning Win over Wells

Myrtle Beach, S.C. - The Albertus Magnus College baseball team improved to 4-0 on the season as the Falcons topped Wells College, 9-6, in extra innings on Tuesday evening in non-conference play as part of the Ripken Experience.

KEY HIGHLIGHT

  • Senior Mike Browne (New Fairfield, Conn.) had the game tying hit in the top of the 9th with two outs.
  • Junior Matt Warren (Wolcott, Conn.) hit the go ahead RBI single in the 10th to give the Falcons their fourth win of the season.

KEY STATS

  • Junior Jay Palais (Farmington, Conn.) and sophomore Nick Miller (Union, N.J.) kept Wells at bay as the duo threw scoreless innings in the eighth, ninth and tenth.

Albertus returns to the diamond on Wednesday, March 13 with a non-conference doubleheader against Mount Aloysius. Game times are set for 3:30pm and 6:30pm in Myrtle Beach.
