HOW IT HAPPENED
The Green Terror took the first lead of the game, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first inning to go ahead 3-0.

Albertus immediately answered in the top of the second, hanging four runs on the board to go ahead 4-3. With two on and one out, freshman Yandy James (Paterson, N.J.) plated Jason Sullivan (Meriden, Conn.) with a double to left field. Anthony Broadhurst (Stratford, Conn.) brought the next two runs across with a single to center field. The final run of the half-inning came off the bat of Joe Matthews (Anaheim, Calif.), whose RBI groundout allowed Broadhurst to score from third.

The Falcons widened their advantage to 6-3 with two more runs in the top of the third. A Sean Jefferson (West Haven, Conn.) walk preceded a double by Sullivan. With runners on the corners and one out, Ron Losacano (Old Lyme, Conn.) drove Jefferson home with a single to left. Broadhurst continued his stellar day by plating Sullivan on an RBI single to center.

McDaniel answered the Falcons with three runs in the bottom of the third to tie the game at 6-6.

Albertus put two more runners on in the top of the fourth, adding one run in the frame to retake the lead, 7-6. With Matt Warren (Wolcott, Conn.) on second after a double and Matthews on third, Jefferson brought home Matthews with a sac-fly to center field.

Unfortunately for the Falcons, the Green Terror caught fire in the fourth, as it scored six runs in the frame to take a 12-7 advantage.

After McDaniel added two more runs to their tally in the fifth, the Falcons continued to fight with two runs in the top of the sixth to make it a 14-9 game. Following a lead-off triple by Nhasean Murphy (Manchester, Conn.) and a Matthews' hit-by-pitch, Bobby Arent (Ridgefield, Conn.) stepped to the plate and singled to left to bring home Murphy. Matthews was the next to score after an RBI groundout from Warren. However, the Green Terror ended the run by sitting down the Falcons' next two batters.

McDaniel widened its lead with another run in the sixth to go ahead 15-9. The Falcons could not answer in their half of the seventh, resulting in a 15-9 victory for the Green Terror.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After both pitchers combined to toss a scoreless first inning, McDaniel took the opening lead of game two with three runs in the second. The Green Terror took advantage of a passed ball and a fielding error to score two unearned runs.

The Falcons looked to answer in the bottom of the second, loading the bases with two walks and a single, but McDaniel worked out of the jam with a strikeout to end the frame.

The Green Terror added to its advantage in the top of the fourth with two more runs to make it a 5-0 game.

Albertus broke onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth, scoring its first run of the contest to cut its deficit to four, 5-1. After James walked to start the inning, Murphy continued his great day with a double to put runners on second and third. Matthews drove in James from third with a single to center.

After McDaniel hung one more run on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth, the Falcons exploded for four runs in the bottom of the inning to cut the deficit to 6-5. Following a walk and single put two on, and a passed ball that bumped both runners up a base, James tallied the first run of the inning on an RBI single. Broadhurst followed his teammate with an RBI single in the next at-bat. Then, Matthews and Arent joined in on the party with RBI singles of their own to help continue Albertus' rally.

The Green Terror retaliated with two more runs in the top of the sixth to make it an 8-5 game.

Albertus would not go down without a fight, however, as AMC tallied a run in the bottom of the sixth to cut the margin to two runs, 8-6. Jefferson led off the inning with a solo shot to right field. Unfortunately for the Falcons, they were unable to bring in any more runs across in the frame, stranding two as the contest went to the seventh.
