PAXTON, Mass. – The Albertus Magnus College field hockey team suffered a road Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) setback to Anna Maria College, 14-0, Saturday afternoon in Paxton, Mass.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The AMCATS took 1:38 to find the game's first goal, with Eden Forget giving the home team a 1-0 advantage.

Anna Maria continued pressing after the early goal, scoring four more times over the next 13-plus minutes to take a 5-0 lead into the first break.

Albertus began the second quarter on the offensive end, taking a penalty corner just 2:14 into the frame. Lillian Woods (New London, N.H.) entered the ball from the hash mark, but the Falcons were turned away. Anna Maria answered by scoring the following two goals in the contest to take a 7-0 lead into the halftime break.

The second half mirrored the first, as the AMCATS continued to push on their way to seven more goals to close out a 14-0 conference victory.

Facing constant pressure, Mikayla Lyston (Medford, N.Y.) remained a stellar force between the pipes for the Falcons. The junior made 15 saves, giving her 54 stops through three games in 2021.
