New Haven, CT- On Thursday Night, The Albertus Magnus College Men's Basketball played a Division I opponent for the first time in team history.  The Falcons didn't have to travel far as host Yale University is just a mile down the road.  Albertus Magnus started off things in exciting fashion as freshman center Jefferson Lora (Bronx, NY) finished a two-handed dunk on the opening tip.  Albertus played with no fear in a first half that featured eight ties and nine lead changes and trailing just 43-38 at the half.  Yale jumped ahead early in the second half and never looked back eventually overwhelming the Falcons with their much deeper bench.  On this historical night, the Falcons proved through their heart and determination that the program is beginning to soar.  The Falcons were lead by sophomore Ray Askew (Hamden, CT) and his game high 19 points and 17 rebounds.  Freshman center Jefferson Lora (Bronx, NY) added 11 points and nine rebounds while junior guard Walden St. Juste (Hartford, CT) chipped in 12 points.  Yale University was lead by freshman guard Austin Morgan (Reno, NV) and his team high 17 points. Albertus drops to 6-3, 2-0 GNAC on the season while Yale University improves to 5-11, 0-0 IVY.  The Falcons look to rebound as they play host to GNAC opponent Norwich University on Saturday with a 3:00 PM tip-off.
