Middlebury, Vt.. - The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team fell on the road in overtime to No. 16 Middlebury, 77-73, Tuesday evening in non-conference play at the Pepin Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Albertus Magnus opened the game with a 6-0 run, behind four-points from Amir Maddred (Camden, N.J.) before the hosts tied the game at 10-10 at the 13:29 mark on a layup from Jack Daly. Middlebury would use Daly's layup to spark a 9-4 run, giving the hosts a five-point cushion, 19-14, but a 5-0 spurt by the Falcons tied the game at 19-all. Albertus Magnus would control the final six minutes remaining and holds a 36-34 edge heading into halftime.
Middlebury took over in the second half, regaining the lead, 39-38, just two minutes in. The Falcons saw the visitors' lead grow to 10, 57-47, but two straight three's from A'Jen English (Middlebury, De.) and a free throw from Jahmerikah Green-Younger (Norwalk, Conn.) cut the deficit to within three, 57-54, with 6:48 left to play.
Albertus Magnus continued to chip away at the score and battled back to within two, 64-62, after being down eight at the 4:56 mark. With the clock winding down, senior Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) scored the Falcons' final four of regulation to send the game into overtime.
Middlebury and Albertus Magnus battled back-and-forth in overtime forcing four lead changes and two ties as the Panthers secured the non-conference win, 77-73.

- Following tonight's win, the Panthers are now 2-0 against the Falcons in the all-time series.
- Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) 25-point performance pushes his career-point total to 1,440, ranking him fifth all-time.
