Winthrop, Mass. - For the fifth straight week in a row, senior forward Jaqhawn Walters (Hartford, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Corvias Player of the Week, announced by the league on Monday afternoon.
Walters helped the Falcons to a 2-0 week as the senior forward averaged 24.0 points (15-32 FG, 18-26 FT) and 15.5 rebounds, posting a pair of doubledoubles to extend his season total 19. He opened the week by scoring 23 points with 19 rebounds in a GNAC win over JWU before registering 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 86-73 win over Saint Joseph's (Maine).
The Albertus Magnus College men's basketball team looks to end the regular season on a high note as the Falcons prepare for two game in the week ahead. The Falcons welcome SUNY Canton for a Tuesday evening non-conference clash before concluding the regular season on the road at Johnson & Wales on Saturday.
