HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:

• Albertus opened regulation with a seven-point lead, 16-9, three minutes in.
• Saint Joseph's rallied back evening the score at 20-all at the 13:18 mark on a made layup from Jack Casale.
• The Monks' offense continued to score as the hosts scored 10 straight points to take a 30-20 lead midway through the first.
• Saint Joseph's maintained a double-digit lead over the next eight minutes of play.
• Down 49-36, Albertus put together a 9-2 run, sparked by a made layup from Terry Dawkins (Queens, N.Y.), to cut the Monks' lead at the half to six, 51-45.

Second Half:

• Albertus carried its momentum from the first into the second, cutting the lead to within three, 54-51 with 17:14 remaining.
• Five minutes later, Saint Joseph's found themselves ahead by 14, 75-61, and maintained its double-digit lead for the remainder of regulation to secure the home victory.
