Men's Golf Falls to In-State Foe Mitchell on Friday Afternoon

New Haven, Conn.  – In its first home dual match of 2017, the Albertus Magnus College men's golf team fell to visiting Mitchell College on Friday afternoon at Ailing Memorial Golf Course. The Mariners carded a team-total of 349 to top the Falcons score of 381 on the par-72, 6,248-yard track.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Mitchell's Mike Izzo topped teammate Nick Knisel by two strokes to earn low medalist honors. Izzo shot a 13-over to record a score of 85 while Knisel shot an 87.

The low scorer for the hosts was senior Brennan Moore (Meriden, Conn.) with an 89, followed by Tom Crocco (Kings Park, N.Y.) and Zach Schatz (East Haven, Conn.) with score a 93.

Rounding out the scoring for Albertus Magnus was junior Elijah Thomas (New Haven, Conn.) with a 106 and freshman Quinn Oliver (Milford, Conn.) carded a 109.
