WINTHROP, Mass. – For the second time this season, Albertus Magnus College men's golf freshman Shamar Wilson (Montego Bay, Jamaica) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Golf Rookie of the Week.
Wilson was honored again by the GNAC after his outstanding showing at the two-day Rose City Invitational, hosted by Eastern Connecticut State University on Sunday and Monday. The Montego Bay, Jamaica, native placed third out of 34 golfers at the event after carding a 10-over 152 over the two rounds. He opened the invite with a 75 (+4) on Sunday before finishing strong with a 77 (+6) on Monday morning.
The Falcons return to the course on Wednesday, Oct. 5, for a dual match at its home course, the New Haven Country Club.
