Donato Piroscafo (Naugatuck, Conn.) made seven saves in his fourth shutout of the season as the Albertus Magnus men's soccer team battled Farmingdale State to a scoreless draw on Sunday afternoon in New Haven.

Piroscafo registered five of his seven stops in the second half as Farmingdale got 12 shots off after the Falcons' outshot the Rams 11-3 in the opening frame.

The second half saw Piroscafo make some key stops, including a leaping save on a header by Matt Kirby in the 55th minute. With 22 minutes to go in regulation, Brian Anderson drilled a shot straight into the hands of Piroscafo before the Falcons' junior made another great save with less than three minutes to go in the frame as J.T. Famularo one-timed the ball from the top of the box.

The Falcons allowed the Rams to get off just one shot in the overtime periods and finished the afternoon with a 26-16 shots advantage.

Angelo Viteritti recorded 10 saves in 110 minutes for the Rams, while Anderson led his team with three shots on the afternoon.

Sophomore Lindsley Barrett (Shelton, Conn.) led the Falcons with six shots, while both Jess Plona (Trumbull, Conn.) and Stephen Zapata (Hamden, Conn.) tallied five.

With the tie, the Falcons are now unbeaten in their last six contests after winning five straight before today's match.

Albertus Magnus will return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 26 when the Falcons travel to New London, Conn. to take on Mitchell College in a 3:30 p.m. non-conference match-up.
