Men's Soccer Battles Colby Sawyer to 2-2 Double Overtime Tie

New London, N.H. - The Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team fought for 110 minutes on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action, forcing a 2-2 tie with Colby Sawyer in double overtime. The Falcons battled back after trailing the Chargers, 2-0, with 48:48 left to play in regulation.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Colby Sawyer held a 1-0 edge at the half after Noah Camelo netted his third of the season off a header on free kick from Tim Driscoll.

Less than four minutes into the second, the Chargers struck again as Mason Galbato found the ball off a rebound shot from Matt Schiller, extending the hosts lead to 2-0.

Junior Matt Cotto (Stratford, Conn.) cut the Chargers' lead in half, 2-1, scoring his second of the season after finding the loose ball in the air.

With the clock winding down, sophomore Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn.) would send the game into overtime as the forward scored on a thru ball from Peter Rivera (Norwalk, Conn.).

Albertus and Colby Sawyer battled through two ten-minute overtime periods, but neither team was able to find the back of the net ending the game in a 2-2 draw.
