New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College men's soccer team and Westfield State University fought to a 0-0 draw in the Falcons' regular season finale on Monday evening at Celantano Field.
Prior to kick-off, the men's soccer team honored its six-member senior class - John Brunetti (West Haven, Conn.), Joe Russo (North Haven, Conn.), Kaj Djonne (Sandy Hook, Conn.), Luis Sandoval (Hamden, Conn.), Tyler Saad (Naugatuck, Conn.) and Anthony Bartolini(Waterbury, Conn.).

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half:
- Westfield State controlled the opening half outshooting Albertus, 11-5, including two shots each from Dave Serafino and Paul Soucy.
- The Falcons were led offensively in the first by sophomore Abdoul Aremu (West Haven, Conn.) who registered two shots attempts.
- Russo posted eight saves in net over the first 45 minutes.
Second Half:
- The Owls continued to control the momentum of the game registering 13 shot attempts compared to the Falcons who had only five.
- Junior Diogo Cruz (Naugatuck, Conn.), freshman Emmanuel Yeboah (Hamden, Conn.) and senior Tyler Saad (Naugatuck, Conn.) each took two shots a piece.
- Both of Cruz's shot attempts were saved by the Owls' keeper at 47:18 and 74:01.
Overtime:
- The Falcons final attempts to score was in the second overtime as Sandoval had two shot attempts that were saved by the Owls' keeper while Jonathan Beaucejour (Wallingford, Conn.) shot hit the cross bar.

- Westfield State outshot the Falcons by a 26-16 margin.
- The Owls also held the advantage in corner kicks, 5-1.
