WINTHROP, Mass. – After another strong week to begin the 2019 season, Albertus Magnus College men's soccer forward Salah Oumorou (West Haven, Conn.) was tabbed the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week on Monday.

Oumorou continued his fantastic stretch of play to start the year, netting three goals and a pair of assists for eight total points in the Falcons' 1-1 week. The junior opened play with two goals and an assist in Albertus' 4-0 victory over Dean College on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Oumorou then tallied one goal and one assist in a 4-3 overtime setback against Pine Manor on Saturday.

For the year, Oumorou is tied for the league lead with 13 points, while being second in both goals (5) and assists (3). His early-season play has guided the Falcons to a 3-1 record, which is tied for the most wins in the GNAC. Today's honor is a first for Oumorou, who was named Rookie of the Week on three occasions in 2017.

Albertus begins conference play on Saturday, Sept. 14, with a 3 p.m. road bout against Suffolk in East Boston, Mass.
