Men's Tennis Finishes 2014 with 9-0 loss to Rutgers-Newark

The Albertus Magnus men's tennis team fell to Rutgers-Newark 9-0 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action on Saturday afternoon in New Haven. The loss moves the Falcons' overall record to 6-7 on the year and 0-2 in GNAC play.

With the match being the Falcons' season finale, Albertus will not reach the playoffs despite a solid effort this season.

Today's closest match came in No. 5 singles as Elvis Santana (Bronx, N.Y.) fell in a close 7-6 set and then a 6-2 set.  Daniel Constantinidi (North Branford, Conn.) and Mathew Mezzei (Wallingford, Conn.) fell in No. 2 singles but put up a battle, falling 8-5 in the match.

The Falcons' 6-7 overall record matches its 2013 overall finish.
