Brendan Charamut (Southington, Conn.) recorded 19 kills to lead the Albertus Magnus men's volleyball to a 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-14) win over Yeshiva University on Sunday afternoon in New York. Charamut recorded just three hitting errors in his 19 attempts for the Falcons.

With the victory, the Falcons improve to 9-1 on the year after defeating Yeshiva for the second time this season. Albertus opened the season with seven-straight wins before their first loss at Lasell on March 8 but the Falcons were able to bounce back from the loss to win two matches in today's tri-match. The Maccabees fall to 7-14 on the year with the non-conference loss.

Albertus recorded 11 kills in the opening set and hit .550 with no errors then added 17 kills in the second set and 18 in the third. Yeshiva never connected for double-digit kills in any set.

Chase Brinton (Bethany, Conn.) added eight kills and five digs for the Falcons, while Carlos Torres (Adjuntas, Puerto Rico) dished out 40 assists in the match. Glenn Johnson (Newington, Conn.) continued his solid performances as he chipped in with seven digs and five kills. Douglas DeSousa (Danbury, Conn.) added eight kills and five digs for the Falcons as well.

Albertus will return to action on Monday night when the Falcons travel to Sarah Lawrence to take on the Gryphons in a 6:00 p.m. match.
