Falcons to Participate in Play 4Kay Game Saturday

On Saturday, Feb. 8, the Albertus Magnus women's basketball team will participate in the Play 4Kay Initiative, which was created by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) in 2007 to heighten awareness of breast cancer and raise money toward research.

Formerly known as "Pink Zone," it was rebranded in 2013 to keep the story and legacy of Kay Yow, the legendary North Carolina State head women's basketball coach who died of breast cancer in 2009, at the forefront of its mission.

The Falcons will wear pink to honor the cause and raise awareness on Saturday and invite fans to do the same.  Albertus will host Mount Ida College in a 1:00 p.m. contest in New Haven and will be collecting donations to give towards cancer research.
