Freshman Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) tied her career-high of 30 points as the Albertus Magnus women's basketball team won its fourth-straight game with a 71-65 victory on the road at Mount Ida College on Saturday afternoon.  The win improves the Falcons' overall record to 9-9 on the year, while their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) record improves to 3-3.

Bolden shot 12-of-20 from the floor and 5-of-10 from the charity stripe as she added five rebounds.  Kelsey Pendagast (Shelton, Conn.) added a double-double for the eighth time this season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Chelsea Sherrod (Bridgeport, Conn.) pulled down a career-best 17 rebounds to go along with seven points and three blocks.

The Falcons held a six-point advantage at the half at 31-25.  To open the contest, the Falcons jumped out to a 5-0 lead before pushing out to a 12-point lead at the 9:23 mark of the first half as Bolden made a layup. That 12-point lead was the Falcons' largest of the half.

Albertus was led by Bolden with 10 points at the break, while Pendagast added 12 points and eight rebounds on 6-of-10 shooting.

On the afternoon, the Falcons shot 38.8% from the field and out-rebounded the Mustangs 51-44.  The Falcons also recorded 20 second-chance points in the contest.

Mount Ida was led by Angelique Martinez with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while Stephanie Champoux and Imani Bumpus contributed with 13 points each, respectively.

Junior Olivia Sutherland (Wallingford, Conn.) also registered double figures with 10 points for the Falcons.

Albertus takes its four-game win streak into a non-conference match-up on Monday at in-state foe Coast Guard.  That contest is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
