Women's Basketball Cruises Past Medgar Evers, 87-48

Brooklyn, N.Y. - Senior forward Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team collected her fourth straight double-double, 15 points and 14 rebounds, as the Falcons cruised past Medgar Evers, 87-48, in non-conference play Tuesday evening at the Cougars Cave.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Albertus Magnus jumped out to an early 23-6 advantage] and closed out the last 10 minutes with a 21-point lead, 42-21. During the opening quarter, junior Jill Johnson (North Haven, Conn.) paced the offense with eight points on 3-of-4 shooting of the field before junior Kiki Epps (Norwalk, Conn.) scored all seven of her first half points in the second.
 
In the third frame, Albertus Magnus once again held Medgar Evers to single digits. The visitors outscored the hosts, 25-8, in the stanza to take a 67-29 lead heading into the final 10 minutes of play. Albertus Magnus put the game out of reach in the fourth en route to its third win of the season.
