Olivia Bolden Breaks Women’s Basketball All-Time Scoring Record

New Haven, Conn. – Albertus Magnus College women's basketball player Olivia Bolden (South Windsor, Conn. / South Windsor High) became the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,915 career-points and counting.

Bolden scored a team-high 27 points in the Falcons' 60-48 road win over in-state foe the University of Saint Joseph's (Conn.). During the game, she passed Lianna Carrero (Hamden, Conn. / Hamden High) all-time school mark of 1,905.

The senior forward currently leads the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and ranks 18th in Division III women's basketball at 21.9 points a game. She also is the 10th leading rebounder in Division III as well as leads the GNAC with 14.3 rebounds a game.

The South Windsor, Conn. native also ranks third all-time in career rebounds with 1,075. She is just 15 shy of tying Denise Brace (1993-97), who ranks second with 1,090.

Not only does Olivia excel on the court, but also in the classroom. This fall, she was one of nine student-athletes who recorded a 4.0 grade point average and landed on the Dean's List.

The women's basketball team is currently 15-6 overall and has a conference mark of 9-4. The Falcons return home on Saturday, Feb. 10 as the team take on first-place Saint Joseph's of Maine in a GNAC clash beginning at 2 p.m.
