Winthrop, Mass. - Junior Rah Rah Thompson (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's basketball team was named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Co-Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Thompson averaged 21.0 points and 21.0 rebounds over two games of action as the Falcons went 3-0 on the week, shooting 73.1% (19-26 FG) overall. The junior forward double-doubled in both games to extend her season total to five. She began the week with a 26-point, 20-rebound performance in a 118-103 non-conference win over Western Connecticut State before registering 16 points, 22 rebounds and three blocks in a 75-45 win over Farmingdale State.
The women's basketball team returns to action on Tuesday, December 4 as the Falcons host Salem State in a non-conference showdown beginning at 7 pm in New Haven, Conn.
