WINTHROP, Mass. – After leading Albertus Magnus College women's basketball to a pair of victories last week, senior guard Shyla Osmond (New Haven, Conn.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week.

Osmond led the way for Albertus by averaging a double-double with 27.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game. In addition to her points and rebounds, she averaged 8.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game after playing a full 40 minutes in both contests. Today's honor marks the second time in Osmond's career that she has been named GNAC Player of the Week.

In the first game of the week, Osmond recorded her first-career triple-double on 34 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists in a 71-63 victory over West Connecticut State on Tuesday. She is one of just five players in all of Division III to record a triple-double this season. Osmond again filled up the stat sheet on Sunday with 20 points, 12 rebounds, seven assists and five steals to lead the Falcons to a 73-65 win over Endicott College.

The Albertus women's basketball team continues its season-long five-game homestand on Wednesday, Dec. 4, as it hosts Westfield State at 7 p.m. in New Haven, Conn.
