Saints Best Falcons 20-4

The Albertus Magnus women's lacrosse team fell to Emmanuel College 20-4 on Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play in New Haven.
Kristen Tuleja led the Saints with five goals and two assists as well as 10 shots. Madison Altwies added four goals, while Emily Baker tallied three goals to go along with an assist.
The Falcons saw four different players score.
Emmanuel jumped out to an early 8-0 lead before the Falcons got on the scoreboard when Jenny Luna (Brentwood, N.Y.) tallied her team-high 21st goal of the year.
At the halftime break, the Saints led 10-1 and held a 33-3 shots advantage.
Albertus scored three of the first four goals scored in the second half as Nikki Kern (Wallingford, Conn.) scored less than three minutes into the frame for her 14th goal of the year.
Two minutes later, Miranda Jassil (North Branford, Conn.) scored her 11th goal of the season to make the score 10-3. Kelly Kennedy (North Branford, Conn.) scored at the 24:13 mark of the half for the Falcons' final goal of the day.
The Saints finished the game with a 9-0 run to take the 20-4 conference victory.  The Saints improved to 9-3 on the year and 5-3 in GNAC play with the win, while the Falcons fell to 1-12 overall and 0-7 in league action.
Maria Case (West Haven, Conn.) made 19 saves in net for the Falcons, while Lauren White registered four stops in 60 minutes of play.
The Saints outshot the Falcons 52-10 on the afternoon.
Albertus heads to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) on Wednesday for their next contest.
