Boston, Mass. – Sophomore Korina Zelaya (Trumbull, Conn.) and freshman Alix Hughes (Trumbull, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team netted a team-best two goals each as the Falcons came up short on the road to Emmanuel (Mass.), 17-6, on Tuesday evening at Clemente Field in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior Aida Sarr (Bronx, N.Y.) opened regulation scoring her first goal of the game on a free position shot just two minutes in to give the Falcons the early advantage until thirty seconds later as Elizabeth Fortier found the back of the net for the hosts to tie the game at 1-1. Emmanuel (Mass.) struck again doubling its lead, 2-1, but Zelaya would go on to score her seventh of the season, evening the score for the second time.
However, Emmanuel (Mass.) would take over on offense and close out the first with a 9-0 scoring run to take a commanding 11-2 lead heading into halftime.
Albertus Magnus started off the second half hot as the Falcons scored three straight goals, including two from Hughes, to cut the Saints' lead to six, 11-5, but it wasn't enough as the hosts put the game out of reach ending regulation with a 6-0 run.
