Women's Lacrosse Korina Zelaya Named to GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team

Winthrop, Mass. –Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse sophomore Korina Zelaya (Trumbull, Conn.) has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Sportsmanship Team as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

Zelaya started in all 15 games for the Falcons as a midfielder. The sophomore finished the spring with 18 goals and two assists for 20 points, ranking her third on the team. Zelaya conluded the spring third in ground balls (36) and draw controls (15) while ranking second with 15 caused turnovers.

The Albertus Magnus College women's lacrosse team finished the 2018 season with an overall record of 4-12, behind wins over Bay Path, Newbury, Dean and Mitchell.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
