Falcons Drop Season Opener to Elms, 2-0

New Haven, Conn. – The Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team opened its 2018 fall slate with a 2-0 setback at home against Elms College on Friday evening in non-conference action under the lights at Celentano Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Elms opened the scoring at the 33rd minute mark as Sydney Goodwin found Alizaya Clark for her first goal of the season to give the Blazers the one-goal, 1-0, lead at the half.

The second half would begin with a quick strike by Jordan Bailey at the 50th minute to extend the visitors' lead to two, 2-0. Albertus Magnus threatened the visitors as Kerrigan Loughman (Trumbull, Conn.) and Jaidyn Gillette (Putnam, Conn.) battled to find the back of the net, but was unsuccessful against the Blazers' keeper.
