Balanced Attack Leads Women’s Soccer over Anna Maria, 7-0

Paxton, Mass. - Freshman Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) netted a career-high four goals for six points as the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team snapped a four-game losing streak following a 7-0 road win against Anna Maria College on Friday evening at AMCAT Field in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Seven minutes into regulation, freshman Morgan Ashby (Branford, Conn.) scored her first collegiate goal following a nice feed from Brooke Paradis (Plainfield, Conn.) to give the Falcons the early 1-0 edge. Midway through the first, Albertus Magnus struck again this time on a goal from Andrews at the 23rd minute to extend the visitors' lead to 2-0 entering halftime.

Albertus Magnus continued to dominate on offense out-shooting the AMCATS in the second, 29-3, to secure the shutout. Andrews picked up where she left off in the first, scoring the next two goals for the visitors before back-to-back goals Erin Daly (Seymour, Conn.) put the Falcons ahead, 6-0.

Andrews would cap the scoring for Albertus at the 87th minute scoring her fourth goal of the game.
