Andrews Named Third-Team All-Conference

Winthrop, Mass. - Freshman Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team received All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Andrews landed a spot on the third team.

The GNAC All-Sportsmanship Team was also announced on Monday and sophomore Megan Lendroth (East Haven, Conn.) represented the Falcons on the squad. Lendroth appeared in all 16 games and recorded two shot attempts. 

Andrews made an immediate impact in her first year on campus, registering a team-high 22 points behind an impressive 11 goals, ranking her sixth in the conference. She started in 15 of her 16 games, scoring a career-best four-goals for eight points on the road against Anna Maria. Andrews also scored two goals against Mitchell College and recorded five multi-point games.

Founded in 1995, the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) is an NCAA Division III association made up of 13 member institutions and over 3,000 student-athletes across the New England region. Each year, the GNAC sponsors and administers 20 championships, while balancing academic integrity, athletic opportunities and community involvement.
