New Haven, Conn. – Sophomore Haley Andrews (Prospect, Conn.) broke the scoreless tie in the 36th minute to propel the Albertus Magnus College women's soccer team past Regis (Mass.) College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) showdown on Saturday afternoon at Celentano Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite being outshot by the Pride, 6-3, in the first half, the Falcons headed into halftime with a one-goal advantage as Andrews scored her eighth goal of the season with less than 10 minutes remaining in the stanza. Junior Katherine Raposo (Warwick, R.I.) fed Andrews the long ball earning her fifth assist of the season.
The Falcons had several close chances to double their advantage in the second half, as Raposo started off the frame with four straight shot attempts, including two shots on goal, while Maddy Rowe (Branford, Conn.) added one of her own.
Regis also had several chances to even the score, but solid defensive work by the Falcons kept the Pride off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game.

- Freshman Keegan Riccio (West Haven, Conn.) also served as an offensive threat for the hosts as the rookie recorded a shot attempt.

- Scofield helped the Falcons' defensive unit record their fifth shutout of the season.
- Scofield collected her eighth career shutout.
- Raposo registered her 33rd point of the season and is one-point shy of tying former Falcon Sam Gigliotti, who currenlty holds the single-season record in points with 34.
- Andrews is fourth in the GNAC in both points (24), while also being tied for the league lead in assists.
