Women's Swimming and Diving Competes in First Invitational

West Hartford, C.T. - The Albertus Magnus College women's swimming and diving team competed in its first invitational in school history on the road at the University of Saint Joseph's Connecticut Friday evening. 

EVENT RESULTS

 200 Yard Freestyle Relay

100 Yard Backstroke

  • Diverniero placed 33rd overall with a time of 1:22.33
  • Anderson placed 43rd overall with a time of 1:28.02
  • Castañeda finished 44th overall with a time of 1:29.57

100 Yard Breaststroke

  • Anderson finished in 11th place with a time of 1:26.88
  • Castañeda finished in 26th place with a time of 1:34.77
  • Diverniero finished in 31st with a time of 1:37.18

100 Yard Freestyle

  • Anderson finished 23rd with a time of 1:08.08, who dropped 9 seconds from her previous time
  • Crisbeth Castaneda came in 42nd with a time of 1:15.62, who dropped 3 seconds from her previous time
  • Diverniero placed 48th with a time of 1:22.13

100 Yard IM

  • Anderson placed 22nd overall with a time of 1:21.03, which is 9 seconds faster than her previous time
  • Diverniero came in 29th with a time of 1:25.95, which is nearly an 8 second time drop
  • Crisbeth Castaneda came in 40th with a time of 1:41.03

400 Yard Freestyle Relay

  • The Albertus team of Cora-Luquis, Castañeda, Anderson and Diverniero finished 6th overall for the A Relays with a time of 5:10.21

UP NEXT 

The women's swim team will compete again at home on Saturday, Nov. 2 against Western Connecticut State. The meet is set for 12PM at the Cosgrove Marcus Messer Athletic Center in New Haven, Conn.
