Brookline, MA - The Albertus Magnus College Women's Volleyball Team opened it's season in heartbreaking fashion losing 3-2 to Anna Maria College after winning the first two sets. The Lady Falcons were led by junior outside hitter Elizabeth Williams (West Haven, CT) who would had 13 kills and a match high 30 digs in the loss. Leading the way for Anna Maria was yet again Acosta with 13 kills, 4 digs and 2 blocks, while Nichole Robbie (Bellingham, MA) also poured in 13 kills, 5 serving aces and a team high 25 digs in the victory. Newbury defeated Albertus Magnus in the second game 25-13, 18-25, 25-16, 25-22. Albertus drops to 0-2, 0-0 GNAC on the young season. The Lady Falcons look to rebound in their home opener as they host Mitchell College on Wednesday at 7:00 pm.
