Women’s Volleyball Falls 3-0 to Daniel Webster in Second Match

Despite 15 digs from Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) and 16 from Krista LaBissioniere (Meriden, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team fell to Daniel Webster 3-0 (25-17, 25-10. 25-10) in its second match against the Eagles on Thursday night.

Daniel Webster improved to 2-0 on the year with the victory, while the Falcons moved to 0-3.

Tiffany Ortiz (New Haven, Conn.) led the Falcons with six kills in the match, while Maritza Rosemond (New Haven, Conn.) dished out eight assists, while recording five digs.

Acerra added three service aces for Albertus as well.

Caitlyn DePierro registered 25 assists and five service aces to lead the Eagles, while Kate-Lyn Breault had seven kills in 14 attempts.

Albertus returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 13 as the Falcons head to Wesleyan University for a non-conference match-up.  The contest is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
