Volleyball Drops 3-0 Decision to Simmons

The Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Simmons College in the Falcons' first match of their Saturday afternoon Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) trimatch. Simmons took the GNAC match with scores of 25-10, 25-11, 25-15.

Simmons opened the afternoon with a dominant 25-10 victory as the Falcons recorded just three kills and seven miscues in the first set. In the second set, Simmons recorded 13 kills in 25 attempts en route to a 25-11 victory, before taking the final set by 10 points to record its ninth win in GNAC play.

Raeann Nesta finished with a match-best 11 kills, while Caroline Boyd chipped in with seven kills. Rachel Dufault and Brittany Hill each added six kills. Kyla McCabe-Corrow dished out 30 assists in the match, while Kelly Last added 10 digs.

Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) and Krista LaBissoniere (Meriden, Conn.) posted team-best three kills for Albertus, while Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.) led the defensive effort with 10 digs.
