Despite 20 digs from Nicole Acerra (East Haven, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team fell to Lasell College 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The Lasers used three-straight wins to down the Falcons as they won 25-16, 25-19 and 25-13.
Lasell's win over the Falcons gave the Lasers their sixth GNAC victory to place them at eighth in the GNAC standings, while the Falcons finish the regular season with a 12-12 overall record and a mark of 3-9 in league play.
Melissa Manning (Milford, Conn.) led the Falcons with five kills, while Kelsey Pendagast (Shelton, Conn.) added four.
Lasell jumped out to an early lead and finished the match with 43 kills and a .234 hitting percentage, including 14 from Sharisse Scott-Rawlins and 10 from Alexis Chappell. Freshmen Alyssa Nahigian notched 36 assists while Jordan Seid had a match-best 23 digs.
