The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2014-15 school year. This year, 48 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 822 members of the Academic Team from 12 full-time institutions and 10 associate member institutions in the conference.

Albertus Magnus fell in a pair of volleyball matches on Saturday in New Haven despite two hard fought matches. The Falcons first dropped a 3-0 decision to Norwich by scores of 25-10, 25-21, and 26-24. In their second match of the day, the Falcons fell to Rivier 3-0 (25-15, 25-18, 25-19).

The Albertus Magnus women’s volleyball team fell to the College of New Rochelle 3-0 on Wednesday night in New Rochelle, N.Y. The set scores were 25-17, 25-10 and 25-11. With the win, New Rochelle improved to an impressive 22-7, while the Falcons fell to 4-17 on the year.
The Albertus Magnus women’s volleyball team fell to Anna Maria College 3-0 (25-22, 25-12, 25-16) on Saturday morning to drop to 4-16 overall and 0-7 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play. With the win, the AMCats improved to 12-11 on the year and 3-5 in league action. Their 12 wins mark the most in a single season for the program.

The Falcons won the first two sets by scores of 25-22 and 25-20 before falling in the third set 25-15. In the fourth and final set, the Falcons edged York 25-22 to earn the match victory.
