The Albertus Magnus women's volleyball team fell to Norwich 3-0 in the first match of the Saturday afternoon tri-match. Norwich won all three sets with scores of 25-10, 25-21 and 26-24.
In that Falcons' first match of the day against Norwich, they were led by Caitlin Prete (Milford, Conn.) with nine kills and 10 digs, while Velez dished out 15 assists. Prete added two assists in the contest as well.
Alyssa Puccilli (Milford, Conn.) recorded 20 digs and Taylor DePalma (East Haven, Conn.) added five kills. Ana Gomez (New Haven, Conn.) added five kills and one dig, while Velez had 11 digs.
Norwich was led by Tara Lyons with eight kills, while both Alma Turpin and Alex Palmer had 12 digs.
The Falcons take on Rivier at 4:00 p.m. in the CMM Athletic Center.
