A NEW WEEK
The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team prepares for three crucial matches in the week ahead as the Falcons host in-state rival Saint Joseph's (Conn.) Wednesday evening before traveling north to face Norwich and Mount Ida in a conference tri-match on Friday.

Game 22: Albertus Magnus 3 | Mitchell 0 – RECAP/ BOX SCORE
Game 22 Highlights:
- Freshman Genesis Cora Luquis (Meriden, Conn.) and senior Nicole Beard (Shelton, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team recorded a pair of double-doubles as the Falcons swept in-state foe Mitchell College.
- Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) registered a team-high 10 kills.

Game 23 Highlights:
- Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) paved the way for the Falcons with a team-high 11 kills.
- The Falcons managed to outscore the hosts 10-1 in set two, powered by two kills each from Ashley David (West Islip, N.Y.) and Genesis Cora Luquis (Meriden, Conn.).

Game 24 Highlights:
- A kill from sophomore Ashley David (West Islip, N.Y.) sparked the Falcons' run before the Raiders tied the set at 24-24.
- Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) paced the Falcons' attack with 11 kills as well as tallied a team-high three blocks.
- Senior Nicole Beard (Shelton, Conn.) posted 33 helpers in match one as well as added five digs and an ace to her stat line.

Game 25 Highlights:
- Senior Ana Gomez (New Haven, Conn.), freshman Genesis Cora Luquis (Meriden, Conn.) and sophomore Ashley David (West Islip, N.Y.) recorded in double-figures for the hosts.
- Freshman Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) recorded a career-game, tallying a career and team-high 23 kills while added a career-high six blocks and a dig.

KELLER EARNS ALBERTUS MAGNUS FEMALE STUDENT ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Freshmen Kimberly Keller (Bridgeport, Conn.) of the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team recorded an impressive showing for the Falcons in a 2-2 week. She averaged a team-high 3.67 kills per set and posted an incredible .366 hitting percentage. The rookie recorded 10 or more kills in all four matches, including a career-high 23 kill's against Saint Joseph's of Maine. Also against the Monks, Keller posted a career-high six blocks to go along with a .422 hitting percentage and a dig. Keller finished the week averaging 0.73 blocks and 0.27 digs per set.

- second in the league averaging 0.79 service aces per set.

- Albertus Magnus returns four players from last year's club.
- The Falcons welcome seven newcomers to the club in 2017.
- Samantha Hathaway joins the program as the new women's volleyball assistant coach.

The Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team was picked to finish 13th in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Preseason Poll.
A QUICK LOOK BACK AT LAST YEAR
- The women's volleyball team ended the 2016 fall season with a 7-20 overall record and landed in 12th-place in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) with a 0-11 mark in league action.
- Head Coach Vanessa Rosario guided the Falcons to non-conference wins against York, Elms, Purchase State, Medgar Evers and CCNY.
- Albertus Magnus swept the season series with York and Medgar Evers, defeating both the Cardinals and Cougars twice during the autumn.
- The team also won back-to-back matches on two separate occasions in 2016.
- Albertus Magnus opened the year with two straight wins at the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms.
