Women's Volleyball Unveils 2018 Schedule

New Haven, Conn. – Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball Head Coach Vanessa Rosario (Fourth Season) has announced her team's schedule for the upcoming 2018 campaign. During the regular season, the Falcons will take to the court 28 times, highlighted by 12 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches and 13 home contests.

The Falcons kick off the fall slate when Albertus Magnus heads north to take part in the Blazer Invitational (Aug. 31-Sept. 1) hosted by Elms College. Following a four-day break, Albertus resumes play and travels to New London for a midweek match at Mitchell College (Sept. 5) before hosting Emmanuel College and Norwich University in a league tri-match on Sept. 8.

Albertus Magnus begins week three with a home non-conference tilt against Newbury College (Sept. 11) followed by two road matches against Lehman (Sept. 13) and Lasell (Sept. 15) as well as a neutral site match against Suffolk (Sept. 15). The Falcons then play host to Saint Joseph's (L.I.) (Sept. 18), Old Westbury (Sept. 22), Rutgers-Newark (Sept. 22), SUNY Purchase (Sept. 25) and Johnson & Wales (Sept. 26) to conclude the month of September.

Spanning the entire month of October, the Falcons' final 14 matches begins on Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Western Connecticut State University. Albertus returns home for a single match against Mitchell (Oct. 4) before shipping up to Massachusetts to tackle Colby Sawyer (Oct. 6), Simmons (Oct. 6) and Anna Maria (Oct. 10).

The Falcons will then play three single matches – two of which are home against Regis (Oct. 13) and the Univ. of Saint Joseph's (Conn.) (Oct. 17) while the third match is on the road at Dean (Oct. 15). Following the match against the Blue Jays, Albertus finishes out league play with a road tri-match featuring Rivier University and Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Oct. 20.

The final week of the 2018 regular season features back-to-back road matches at Eastern Connecticut State University (Oct. 23) and Curry College (Oct. 25) as well as a home tri-match against Pratt (Oct. 27) and Becker (Oct. 27).
