Franklin, Mass. - Despite three double-doubles from freshmen Vanessa Isyk (Meriden, Conn.), Summer Onorato (East Haven, Conn.) and Jaiden Williams (Orange, Conn.), the Albertus Magnus College women's volleyball team fell short to Dean College, 3-2, Monday evening in non-conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Set One: Dean 25 | Albertus 17
- Dean opened set one with an 8-0 lead, including three service aces from Kait Anderson.
- The Falcons battled back to within four, 21-17, following a kill from Maria Vazquez (Hamden, Conn.).
- Dean closed out the set with a 4-0 run.
Set Two: Dean 25 | Albertus 20
- Down by four, 14-10, Albertus rallied off an 8-0 run to take a four-point lead, 18-14, over the Bulldogs.
- Dean won the second set, 25-20, after closing out the frame with an 11-2 run sparked by a Falcons' service error.
Set Three: Albertus 25 | Dean 22
- The Falcons hit a match-high 12 kills for a .089 hitting percentage.
- Isyk posted six kills for the Falcons in set three.
Set Four: Albertus 25 | Dean 22
- It was an evenly matched fourth set as both Albertus and Dean battled through nine ties.
- With the score tied, 22-22, a kill from Ashley David (West Islip, N.Y.), a service ace from Jesselle Guzman (El Paso, Tex.) and a kill from Onorato sealed the win for Albertus, forcing a fifth-deciding set.
Set Five: Dean 15 | Albertus 11
- Down 5-1, Albertus rallied together a short run and evened the set, 6-6, on an attack error by the Bulldogs.
- Dean took over on offense and started to pull away with the set, 14-8, but Albertus battled back to within three, 14-11.
- However, an attack error by the Falcon gave the Bulldogs the home win, 15-11.
