Meet Our Coaches - Lauren Pallone, Women's Swimming & Diving
In this week's segment of "Meet Our Coaches", we are featuring women's swimming & diving head coach Lauren Pallone.

Pallone just completed her first year as the head coach for the Lady Falcons. The Falcons participated in 11 events in their first varsity season. Albertus picked up its first-ever victory on Jan. 18 with a 104-90 win over Rhode Island College to split a tri-match that day. The Falcons took eighth in their first appearance in the GNAC Tournament.

What is your favorite thing about being a coach?
Helping student-athletes navigate their four years of college through academics, athletics, and life.  Building relationships that will hopefully last long past graduation.

Swimming & Diving

What attracted you to Albertus Magnus College?
The family environment!!! I saw the potential for growth within the college, athletics, myself as a person and as a coach.

What is your favorite coaching memory at Albertus Magnus?
Anything and everything that happened at GNAC's this year.  With it being our first year competing, it was a surreal two and half days.  I wouldn't have changed a thing!

Favorite Sports Team:
NY Giants (football), NY Yankees (baseball), USA Gymnastics, USA Swimming.  I am also a huge MMA fan.

Favorite TV Show:
Any real life crime shows

Favorite Pre-Game Song:
Whatever the team makes me listen to

Do you have any special talents, or a surprising thing that someone might not know about you?
Something people may not know about me is that I was adopted.  I also have a child with Cerebral Palsy who is the absolute light of my life.  I would not be who I am today without my mom, dad, and daughter.  They have taught me so much and I will forever be grateful for them.

What is one of your hobbies?
I love to read!!! I am always interested in furthering my education in some way.  I do virtual runs with my daughter, pushing her in an adaptive stroller.  I get the t-shirt and she gets the medal.

How are you staying active at home?
Walks/Runs when the weather is good enough to get out, virtual workouts, or mayhem 30.
