Making Connections for My Future Career | Sabrina Pohlig’s Senior Story

Sabrina addressing the Class of 2023 during the 2019 Candlelight Convocation.

Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Sabrina Pohlig decided to attend Albertus Magnus in 2016 in pursuit of her goals. When asked about her decision to attend Albertus, the manageable class size, the opportunity to play lacrosse, and the chance to have an impact on the Albertus community were all reasons why.

Sabrina worked as an intern at the People’s United Center in Hamden, Connecticut.

When asked why she felt a college education was important, Sabrina stated, “It allowed me to continue my education and make connections that will help me in my career path.”

One of her favorite instructors along that path has been Professor DeCarli and her most memorable course is “Sports Venue and Management”.

Originally from West Palm Beach, Florida, Sabrina Pohlig decided to attend Albertus Magnus in 2016 in pursuit of her goals.

Over four years, Sabrina has been an active member of several student-based organizations such as Student Government Association (SGA), Vice President of Student Alumni Association (SAA), Admission Ambassadors, and SAAC. She is also interning for Campus Recreation in Student Services at Albertus.  Sabrina has also played an active role in Albertus Athletics, as a dedicated member of the Women’s Soccer and Lacrosse teams.

Sabrina’s best Albertus memory goes back to her first year. “My Freshman year it snowed and a whole group of friends went sledding on the hill with plastic bins and lids. We tried to see who could go the farthest and build a ramp out of the snow. It was the first time I had truly gone sledding.”

Sabrina Pohlig is set to receive a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management in Spring 2020
