West Haven, CT - The Albertus Magnus College Baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader to visiting Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Lasell College on Sunday afternoon 7-3 and 8-2.

Game one saw the Falcons leave the bases loaded in the bottom of the first inning before Lasell College would break the 2-2 tie scoring 2 runs in the fifth inning and 3 runs in the sixth inning taking advantage of three Falcon errors on route to a 7-3 victory.  Albertus struggled with runners in scoring position leaving several players on base.

Game two saw freshman starter Brent Barth (Guilford, CT/Guilford) leave the game due to injury after just 1.1 innings pitched and the young Falcon defense falter allowing five unearned runs to score while dropping an 8-2 decision.

Albertus drops to 5-14, 2-2 GNAC while Lasell improves to 15-10, 4-4 GNAC.

The Falcons travel to Wesleyan University on Tuesday for a 3:30 pm start.
