    The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced its All-Academic Team for the 2014-15 school year. This year, 48 student-athletes from Albertus Magnus College were among the 822 members of the Academic Team from 12 full-time institutions and 10 associate member institutions in the conference.

    Three members of the Albertus Magnus baseball team have earned 2015 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honors as announced by the league office on Monday. Anthony Pellegrino (Branford, Conn.), Justin Poirier (Meriden, Conn.), and Tyler Robertson (Cheshire, Conn.) were each named to the GNAC All-Conference Third Team, while Pellegrino earned Third Team honors as both an outfielder as well as utility player.

    The Albertus Magnus baseball team fell to Suffolk University in back-to-back games on Sunday afternoon as the Falcons dropped game one 3-2 before falling in game two by a score of 8-4. Anthony Pellegrino finished the game with two hits and registered the 100th hit of his career.

Led by three hits from both Steven Lockman (Wallingford, Conn.) and Arber Mehmedi (Naugatuck, Conn.), the Falcons improved to 6-7 on the year with the win.

    The Albertus Magnus baseball team split its Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) series’ opener on Tuesday afternoon against Anna Maria College. In game one, the Falcons put together a three-run seventh inning to come-from-behind to win 3-2 in their GNAC opener. In game two, Anna Maria defeated Albertus 7-2.

  • Baseball Releases 2015 Schedule

    The Albertus Magnus baseball team will open the 2015 season on Sunday, March 1 when the Falcons head to St. Joseph’s College of Brooklyn for a non-conference doubleheader. After a March 3 contest at Worcester State, the Falcons will head down to Myrtle Beach for Spring Break. Albertus is currently scheduled to play five home doubleheaders, including three league twin bills, at Quigley Stadium in West Haven.
