Winthrop, Mass. - Albertus Magnus College baseball freshman Elijah Spataj (Cheshire, Conn.) has been named this week's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. It is the second time this season Spataj has garnered top rookie honors.

Spataj slashed .375/.545/.750 in a 3-0 week for the Falcons, going 3-for-8 with three runs, three doubles and five RBI. The rookie hit safely in two of the three games, including a two-hit performance behind a season-high two doubles in the 7-2 win over Mt. St. Vincent. 

The Falcons return to the diamond on Wednesday, April 17 with a road non-conference game against Pine Manor College. First pitch is set for 3:30PM.
