HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons took control of the game in the opening six-plus minutes of the first half, taking a 23-6 advantage at the 13:52 mark following a 15-0 run. The run, which lasted about three and a half minutes and featured six different Albertus point-scorers, was capped off by a Justice Washington (Hamden, Conn.) dunk, one of four slams by the Falcons in the contest.

Albertus built its lead as high as 21 points in the first half, 67-46, with 1:11 left in the period after a Jon Delgado (Jersey City, N.J.) 3-pointer. The Falcons maintained a 20-point lead, 69-49, heading into the break. Rice and Dawkins led the way for Albertus in the first half, as the former tallied 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals, and the latter posted 15 points, three boards and an assist.

The Falcons continued to pressure in the second half, never allowing its lead to dip below 13 points in the final 20 minutes. Albertus' largest advantage was 33 points, 109-76, at the 4:55 mark of the second half. Dawkins and Davon Warner (New Haven, Conn.) paced the team in the second half with eight points each. Despite a late run by the Mariners, the Falcons held tough on the road to secure the 112-99 victory.

Dawkins finished the contest with a career-best 23 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor to lead all players. Rice logged his second-career double-double with a career-high 19 points and a career-best tying 11 rebounds.
