BOX SCORE

HOW IT HAPPENED
Coast Guard got off to a good start as the Bears held a 20-11 lead five minutes into regulation. The Falcons slowly worked themselves back into the game and managed to cut the deficit to four, 22-18, on a Jahmerikah Green-Younger (Norwalk, Conn.) three-pointer with 13:05 left in the first half.

From there, Green-Younger took matters into his own hands as the senior guard put together a rally of his own to close the deficit to three, 26-23. Soon after, Justice Washington (Hamden, Conn.) provided a spark off the bench for Albertus by igniting an 11-2 rally that evened the game at 32-32.

Over the next two minutes of play, Albertus and Coast Guard traded leads three times before a basket from Yonas Gordon gave the Bears a five-point cushion, 40-35, with 6:17 left on the clock.

Coast Guard remained in control until the 1:30 mark as a dunk from Damian Grant (Waterbury, Conn.) put the Falcons ahead 51-50. With 30 seconds left, Coast Guard threatened the Falcons once again by cutting the lead to one, 53-52, but Grant pushed the Falcons' lead back-up to three, 55-52, heading into halftime.

It was back and forth in the first three minutes of the second half with Albertus in the driver's seat, 62-57. Shortly after, the Bears began to heat up offensively as a pair of free throws from Gordon made it a one-possession game, 64-62.

Albertus maintained an nine-point lead, 83-74, as the midway point hit in the half. However, the Bears climbed right back into the game cutting the lead to two, 90-88, with 4:58 left in regulation.

Albertus countered back with a 7-2 run to push its lead back-up to seven, 97-90. With less than a minute to play, Coast Guard trailed by just five, 100-95, but Albertus proved to be too much as the Falcons sealed the non-conference win.
