Men's Golf Tops WestConn in Final Match Before GNAC Championship

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Albertus Magnus College men's golf team returned to action on Tuesday with a 346-400 dual-match victory over Western Connecticut State University at the New Haven Country Club. Today's match was the Falcons' final tune-up before defending their Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship title next week.

NOTES

  • Ryan Sember (Branford, Conn.) won medalist honors for the lowest score with a round of nine-over 79.
  • Charles Kristofak (West Hartford, Conn.) performed well under challenging conditions finishing second with a round of 84 (+14).
  • Devin Hines (West Haven, Conn.) posted yet another solid performance with a round of 88 (+18) to take third.
  • David Aquavia (Oakville, Conn.) battled to finish fifth with a round of 95.
  • Robert Eichelberger (Odessa, Fla.) returned to action rounding out the group in sixth shooting a round of 97.
  • Rounding out the Falcons' competitors was Coleton Cianci (Kirkland, Quebec), with a seventh-place showing with a score of 99.

UP NEXT
The men's golf team will next return to the course to defend their GNAC crown at the New Haven Country Club. The two-day GNAC Championship will take place on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 11-12.
