HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons burst out of the gates to begin today's game, scoring a goal 58 seconds into the contest. Manning gave the visitors a quick 1-0 advantage on a 2-1 chance after Jonathan Stein (Vancouver, British Columbia) fed him a long pass from the neutral zone that Manning gathered before beating the opposing keeper with a back-handed shot.

After a late first-period goal by the Valiants, Albertus began the second period in search of regaining the lead. For the second straight frame, the Falcons opened the period with a goal, as Weitzman found the back of the net at the 1:37 mark. Weitzman gave AMC a 2-1 lead by deflecting a Colwell pass into the top-right corner of the net. Ryan Malko (Cranford, N.J.) earned an assist on the play.

Albertus found an immediate answer following another Manhattanville goal to take a 3-2 advantage at the 15:07 mark. While playing 4-on-4, Michaels sent a centering pass to Risk as he was crashing the zone for a top-shelf shot that landed inside the right crossbar.

In the third period, the action picked up, with both teams combining for five goals. The Valiants struck first with the first two goals of the frame to take a 4-3 lead within the first 6:40 of the period.

However, the Falcons did not stay down long, tying the game at 4-4 at the 8:01 mark. On another 4-on-4 chance, Colwell tied the game by wrapping around the back of the net after a Risk pass to score to the bottom left corner.

Albertus broke the 4-4 deadlock 10:04 later with a goal from Antoniadis. After Alexander Lazier (Pointe-Claire, Quebec) stole the puck in the neutral zone, Zach Pellegrino (Madison, Conn.) brought it to the right of the zone before stopping and sending a pass to a trailing Antoniadis for the game-winner.

The Falcons capped off the win with an empty-net goal by Michaels at the final second to pick up the 6-4 road victory.
